(major. Events and sports seasons began to suddenly shutter or get delayed by COVID)

(Impact on their local communities and their local economies)

따라서, 백신을 맞은 이후에도 (even after everyone's arm's been poked) 계속해서 이러한 영향은 지속될지  좀더 시간이

Welcome back data download time

it was one year ago this week that

all those major events and sports seasons began to suddenly shutter or get delayed by Covid

the NCAA tournament south by southwest the MLB

and it continued that way for weeks and even months

but even as the economy begins to recover

somethings may never be the same

For instance, beginning in march of last year  31 percent of 18 or older found themselves working from home due to the COVID outbreak that was according to MRI Simmons.

We'll get this. Half of them now say they will continue working from home after the pandemic ends.

That means cafes near work may be empty.

Buses and trains could stand idle. Fewer stops on subways.

daily habits could change.

This is largely a service industry recession this year

Many of those service jobs they may never come back

in total about 9.6 million fewer Americans were employed this january,

compared to a year ago according to the bureau of labor statistics.

More than 8.7 million of those jobs were in the service industry.

of course some things are looking up in 2021 at least for now

and even if those big events come back

in a somewhat diminished fashion

but all those remote workers who aren't returning to their office parks

they're going to have a lasting impact on their local communities and their local economies,

meaning even after everyone's arm's been poked it's going to take some time before we understand

what this new economic normal really looks like.
